Houghton Mifflin is a theme curriculum that allows children an opportunity to explore in a developmentally appropriate environment. The program presents detailed lesson plans associated with skills. Children will experience large and small group situations along with individual assistance while exploring Language, Math, Science, Music, and Art.

Students participate while seated around circled tables, this will benefit in building a cooperative and social team in class.

Reading and distinguishing the names of the letters and their sounds, is included in each session .Math is a small group activity, time for exploration, working with patterns, classifying, and counting. Science is included with the weather activity that includes observing, predicting, and discussing various observations. Social studies is presented throughout the year to introduce the Family group. Music session, is a time to explore rhythms, play musical instruments and sing. Craft period is an opportunity for students to experience their imagination while working.

A weekly report is sent at the end of the week a purpose of sharing the information of the various activities that was accomplished by students during the week.
